St Panteleimon the Healer Icon

This premium Orthodox icon is made using the traditional silkscreen technique on cotton canvas, mounted on solid natural carved wood with a raised border (kovcheg). The background features a polished gold gilding effect (burnished mirror finish), symbolizing divine light and eternal glory.

It includes an integrated wooden stand for display on a desk or shelf, and a hole on the back for wall hanging. The icon is varnished for lasting protection and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Iconography & Symbolism
The St Panteleimon the Healer Icon (Greek: Ἅγιος Παντελεήμων, meaning “All-Merciful”) portrays the beloved physician-saint holding a small medicine box and cross, symbolizing both healing of the body and salvation of the soul.

Born in Nicomedia, St Panteleimon dedicated his life to helping the sick and poor, healing through both his medical skill and prayer. He was martyred for confessing Christ during the persecutions of Emperor Maximian in the 4th century. His intercession is invoked for healing, protection during illness, and compassion toward all who suffer.
