Theotokos the Guide Icon

This hand-painted Orthodox icon of Theotokos the Guide presents the Virgin Mary holding the Christ Child in a traditional Byzantine composition. The Christ Child turns toward His Mother while the Archangels Michael and Gabriel appear above, presenting the instruments of Christ’s Passion.

The icon is painted by hand using egg tempera on a solid gessoed wood panel.
