Holy Family Icon (polished gold halos)

This hand-painted Orthodox icon presents the Holy Family with Christ the Child at the center, surrounded by the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph. The icon is hand-painted using traditional egg tempera on a thick natural plywood panel. It is enriched with 24K genuine gold leaf, detailed gilding, polished gold, and beautifully decorated polished gold halos. The rich red, blue, orange, and purple garments create a vibrant Byzantine-inspired composition. The icon is finished with protective varnish and ships in a protective box.

Iconography and Symbolism

Christ stands at the center of the composition as the Incarnate Son of God and the spiritual center of the Holy Family. The Virgin Mary is shown with her traditional red maphorion and blue garment. Saint Joseph appears beside Christ with a raised hand, expressing his protective and attentive role within the Holy Family.
