St Stylianos Icon Protector of Children

This handmade Orthodox icon depicts Saint Stylianos of Paphlagonia (also known as Stylian, Stylianus), the great protector of children and families. He lived as a hermit in Asia Minor in the 6th century, devoting his life to prayer, fasting, and helping the poor. Tradition remembers him especially for his love for children, whom he comforted and protected through his prayers. In iconography, St Stylianos is often shown holding a swaddled infant, symbolizing his patronage of children and newborns.
